She can tell when she is angry, sad, excited or stressed. She doesn't say "I'm fine" when she is not. Instead, she asks herself, "Why do I feel this way?" Maybe she is upset because she feels disrespected in a meeting. Maybe she is anxious because she has too much work. When she knows the real reason, she can fix the problem instead of hiding it. How to use verbs as singular and plural form..

01. Most verbs make their singular by adding " s " to the end of the plural.

Examples -  Plural                                       Singular

                    1. make                                     makes

                    6. come                                     comes

                    7. like                                        likes

02. Verbs ending with " s, ss, sh, ch, o " make their singular by adding  " es " to the plural.

 Examples - Plural                                        Singular 

                  1. go                                             goes

                  2. coach                                       coaches

                  3. wash                                        washes

                  4. crush                                        crushes

                  5. brush                                        brushes

                  6. teach                                        teaches

03. Verbs ending in " y " preceded by a consonant make their singular form by changing  "y" into " ies".

Examples - Plural                                 Singular

                   1. cry                                  cries

                   2. fly                                   flies

                   3. try                                   tries

                   4. study                              studies

                   5. apply                              applies


04. Verbs ending with " y " preceded by a vowel make their singular by adding only " s " to the plural.

Examples - Plural                                Singular

                 1. play                               plays

                 2. obey                              obeys

                 3. say                                 says

                 4. lay                                  lays

                 5. buy                                 buys
